Ariel was a rockstar model.

When the opportunity presented itself to work with Ariel, I knew I had to make it happen…even though I just had shoulder surgery and my arm was in a sling. I called up another photographer I knew through the studio I was a teacher in and made him an offer he couldn’t refuse. The shoot went amazingly smooth.

I asked her to simply walk across the room, but while trying to maintain stillness in the top half of her body. Her professionalism can be seen in her face–while the rest of her body moved, she held her gaze and composure. I love this image as it combines movement while still ‘freezing’ time, and demonstrates impressive focus.
