Artist’s Comments
I used a broken Canon ‘nifty-fifty’ lens to create this image. I removed the lense mount from the rest of the lens, reversed the lens-assembly, then reattached the mount. So, esentially I just put the lense on backwards. The resulting system has an extremely shallow depth of field and very soft focus outside that miniscule range of sharpness.
I like how the images are soft like petals, but still have elements of crispness to them.
This flower was purchased specifically for this photograph.
